Things Can Get Even Worse

There are lots of problems that make life seem like it has come to a halt and there likely will be more problems in the future. Some will seem new and some similar to the past encounters. During hardships, we wonder if things will ever be right again. Some challenges seem so destructive that they make life seem turned upside down. So much so that thinking straight and looking right doesn't seem doable anymore. Enormous pain engulfs life affecting either health, wealth, loved ones, work, studies or most of them.

There is a way to make the effects of hardships caused to you feel less damaging, emotionally and on your sense of well-being. This will take time, however it is essential to keep going to feel happy and grateful in life. Trauma and sufferings are evident. Not just in a particular phase, but in every phase and age. Since it is unavoidable, regardless of the resources you might have, it will be helpful to create defenses, so you can pass through the dark tunnels, recover and see the good that they have done to you and those around you.

We are often negligent of many things. When life strikes back with a problem in that area, we take notice and feel patient enough to help solve the issue. It can be as simple as an itch that makes you scratch and draws your attention to your body that may be unclean because you either didn't bathe or bathed in a way that didn't clean you completely. Such is the way of nature to show that larger problems might await if you neglect what bothers you.

Man always has some time to sit back and reason. Asking why something happened can either bring many realizations to mind at that very moment or later as days go by. It is important to feed your mind the food of hunger that seeks answers. Because these answers help to keep going in difficult times, no matter how hopeless the situation may be. Reasons to unfold situations, resolve to become stronger in the future, decisions to change what you believe you must, confessions to get things off your chest, realizations to not be in the dark or be lost, corrections to be a better person and such mental transitions are needed to evolve. Growing older does not mean you lose your wonder, however it means that you know you are a day more aware than yesterday because of your experiences. Now that you have seen it, you know you don't have to react in ways that didn't help. And you could try something else or seek help from sources that seem helpful. You can try and help yourself, every way that you can.

Such activities can bring us to a much-needed attitude shift, that can set us free from self-doubt, and a low sense of self. It can help you try new things and not feel let down because of experiences or failures. Believe that the worst could have been even worse. You avoided it with your strength. Perhaps your faith or will power was put to work without you realizing it. Man is strengthened by such sources of strength that bring reassurance. With reassurance and the belief that you can sail through daunting circumstances, you can see that you are over the past and it has come to an end. It makes one positive and brave. These two are needed for each one of us. It comes from within when someone says, “Be positive, be strong!” You need not feel positive and strong right after you are asked to.

It seems impossible to reassure yourself that things will be alright, at times. Situations get so out of your grasp that you likely give up. You see no sense in what is happening and feel scared. Bad circumstances shake us to our core in such a way that we resent, lose hope or feel helpless. We wonder, why me? Why not them! We might also seek for someone to suffer like us. It might give a certain kind of realization, seeing others in pain. Such is the trail of thoughts that man has when he is low. But you must make the most of the worst of times and have it pass while you keep your chin up. It is essential to keep your words positive and thoughts reduced as you sail in turbulent waters. With a positive attitude and enormous hope that this is not the end, you will see that it indeed wasn't the end and better things were in store for you. Just stop when such thoughts arise. It is human to have such thoughts come to mind. However, it is wise to let them go and not take them as your thoughts.

Sit Back And Find Yourself

You may wonder how you can find yourself. It is repeated in many self-help and inspirational writings and talks to be yourself. How do you manifest being yourself? How do you know yourself? How can you see who you are in various circumstances that are sometimes sad, scary, sweet and unexpected? You are somewhat different in differing situations and seem to not find a fixed self. Then who are you?

You find yourself when you sit down and relax and naturally feel inclined to ask questions. Those who do not feel naturally inclined to sit back and ask questions tend to sit down when calamity hits them or when they feel lost. Man tends to seek help and solution to problems only after it hits them. Being ready for unforeseen events comes naturally to very few. Either way, it helps to sit down and take a moment to ponder over who you are and what led to the situation that you got into. When you ask questions like why something happened, what you can do to make it work for you, how it impacted you or others, whether you were at fault and so on can open your eyes to who you are. Your strengths, weaknesses, desire and fears seem clear to you.

As you realize other things related to you or life, little pieces of information unfold that influence self-awareness. Knowing yourself may not happen immediately as you think about yourself. However, it is in the act of thinking in quiet that brings self-actualization. It initializes the process. And it is up to you whether you take it forward or take on the attitude of not thinking anything and going with the flow when situations demand. A good balance between thinking and knowing about you and not getting too curious or worried over it seems less tiring.

Some worry about not knowing enough and think a lot, all day. This may cause anxiety, and anxiety is not something anyone wants to harbor. Hence, knowing that you want to know yourself and let some part of you go away for the moment is a way you can handle anxiety and overthinking. Your mind is sometimes thinking one thought and at other times, quite a few. Hence, it is not necessary to catch every thought and feeling to know in depth about them.

What comes out of it is bits of information and realization that make you see what you missed. You will realize something out of nowhere and feel surprised and happy. It is in these moments when you come closer to yourself and feel at a better place to decide for yourself based on what you have found and how it comes together and manifests itself. Knowing about yourself is essential and it is a pleasant experience. It need not be daunting or burdensome. It can take its time and as it carries forward, its own course. You can allow your mind to tread far and wide and find yourself along the path.

In The Face Of Adversities

Remember the times when you almost gave up? When life seemed so dull and out of control that you knew it was never going to be alright? It appears that life always gives us a second chance to make things right. And those who try, always make it right or somewhat close to right, each time things change. When there wasn't a chance to make things right, then you make something else work. Something new crops up and you roll with it.

However, what happens as you struggle and toil? What does that phase and time feel like? That experience of utter darkness and pain where you feel like you are alone in it and nothing seems to make sense, nor does it seem like anyone else is experiencing what you are. What is that time like? Where are you at that time and who communicates with you during those phases of suffering?

It is you who talks and connects deeper with you when no one else seems to be where you are. Even though everyone has experienced it! You emerge a better person from every incident and event that ties you up bad enough that you feel closed, breaks you until you cannot hold up, confuses you to the point of chaos and destroys your sense of self in a way that makes you doubt if you will ever be whole again. You are better when you are communicating with yourself.

In life, it is utterly important to connect with who you are. If you have never taken time to speak and understand your true self then what have you explored? You go out of yourself and your confines happily when you have explored and positively exploited your true self in your own calm. When you have time, sit back and find who you are. It is a never ending journey that is inexplicable in terms of what it unfolds and how it educates you about who you are and what you can do.

When you connect with yourself and understand who you are, you can work with yourself. When you meet someone and want to do something for them, you will be in a better place to take yourself forward when you have spoken to yourself and have gone to the depths of your mind and soul like no one else has. It cures you of hurt that erodes your sense of self when you go deep into your motives and ask why, what and who you are? Why it affected you? What it did to you? What you must do? What you did wrong? Questions like these and more can stir your soul and elevate self-awareness. You will be better able to heal yourself of pain and trauma.

Suffering is bound to happen no matter who you are! You can be living as a daily wageworker or be a duke living in a palace. No one seems to have a 'better' life because we are in it and suffering in our own way owing to our unique circumstances. Everybody gets sad. What you can and must do is not give up. Saying is easy to hold your values up and be courageous. However, you have to be doing something as you suffer. Then you might as well will reassure yourself that you will sail through. Believe and render to yourself this message that you may be alone but not lost forever. Because lost is a place where everyone reaches at some point. And comes back. Or they pave a path that leads to the world that they want to be in. It could be a better world. Don't be afraid of being alone somewhere.

In the face of adversities, speak to yourself. Reassure yourself that you are with yourself. And that is fairly enough. No one can build you more than you can because no one has seen you everyday doing everything that you had been doing and experiencing all sorts of emotions. You are your best accomplice and the truest help that you could ever trust, regardless of what it has been—either helpful or not. When you assure yourself, you are strong enough to stand the pain and tread heavily through the tunnel that is dark and scary. You have to tell yourself that even though you are not alright right now, you will be, in the future. As things settle down. There is no other way for life to exist. You have to find yourself back to normalcy. It could be a new normal. But it has to be and will be. You have to enter it with the faith that you will. Isn't it better to enter a change with a positive mind? If you are bound to struggle, then why not with a pinch of faith? Why go feeling weak when you have untapped will power and strength right in you? When you feel hurt or are in pain, tell yourself that you will sail through. Do it with gumption and hold your chin up. Where there is faith and talks of bravery, there are fewer fears. You have to try it to see it happen.

Lost Is A Place Of Dwelling As Well!

Everybody is lost at some point and then we all find a place where we feel like we are found. We can be found by loved ones or ourselves, in a new light: understanding a newer side of oneself. Some tread or reach the unknown or feel lost for longer. Almost fearing that they will never find their way back home. Bad experiences, testing times, trauma, loss, challenging times and many such experiences lead us to a place called 'lost'. You feel lost in a way that you feel that no one understands the depth of the pain or fear that you are going through.

If everyone reaches this place at some point or another, no matter what their gender, age, or place in life, then why not call it a place and move into it with a view to explore what lies ahead? Those who have been lost at some point owing to whatever circumstances have spoken about it as a place where they felt enormous confusion. However, they may have also spoken about becoming more resilient to giving up and emerging stronger, such that trivial matters that seemed huge before would not torment them as much. Lost might be a place that gives you an opportunity to find yourself. It can allow you to open your eyes that have been shut or have been avoiding seeing something that has been right there, perhaps because noticing it seemed inconsequential or not urgent. Noticing and being watchful makes you speak what is relevant and helps shred the irrelevant and excessive.

When you are lost, you are going through many emotions that you deem negative. It seems endless and you know what would make you feel better-a good place that is free from fear, where you can go freely and enjoy doing what you like. Being lost can be like finding the unknown. Your own unknown. When you spend time there, you come out of it knowing something you wouldn't otherwise. A truth, a perspective or a view of something that helps you. Why do you have to be lost? Why not be always safe and not go where you do not want to go? Because you are not at liberty to choose.

If it is left to each one of us, we might choose one way, the same way, the best ones that seem best or something else. These paths need not always be what they seem like. Perhaps that's why we are all clueless as t what will happen next. We feel jolted when a new reality hits us. Sometime, tragedy has to hit to bring us closer to this place called lost. What can one do while being there? Wait! Waiting and seeing things unfold is what you can do to begin with. The rest may make sense as you allow time to do so. Your mind is constantly running and working to bring you information based on what it sees and senses. It is quick to make connections and draw conclusions. It will bring forth information that will enlighten you and better prepare you for your road ahead based on your choices and strengths. Or it will build you in some way and help make you a person that faces the same field again with more conviction. Such that when others see you, they draw motivation from you. They see you as a guiding light when they are lost. Anything is possible. So as you face these troubling times, prepare your mind to be able to narrate what you experience, how it can help others. This is one way to reevaluate what you miss seeing. Not knowing how something helps, pleases or heals you are losses that are hurtful, bringing guilt and are best avoided.

The next time you feel like you are lost or are unaware of what will happen next, tell yourself that you never have absolutely known what would happen next or change next. Life is unpredictable. It has always been. And you are here to experience it all. Feeling panic is natural. Knowing that it is alright is essential to not let it overshadow your peace of mind beyond a certain point. You need not fear that you will be lost forever. When nothing is permanent, how can this state be permanent? It will also change. Go with the flow, reach the shore and look back at how far you have come. That much can be predicted.

Live Well - Wherever With Whatever!

One often wonders, what is my life like? Am I living a good life? I have this where I stay, I have them where I am, I am this in my heart and so on. Since everyone lacks something and has something else, each person in this world is aware that they are both deprived and privileged.

When any two people meet, that is when they see what the others's life is like and they question their own lifestyle. Once of the richest man, Bill Gates said, "After the first million dollars, it's the same hamburger". While someone else suggested that if I must cry, might as well be in a Lamborghini.

Enormous wealth, a suave partner, fame and all things of the finest brand is longed by some. Acceptance, validation, security and one true love is longed by most others. A little better home, people, grades, etc. is yearned by others. When we yearn and see others like celebrities or our neighbor next door have what we want, we feel a vacuum in us.

This vacuum has a capacity to make us all miserable. When every person from each strata of the society is likely feeling deprived of something, then what is it that we want that will keep is not feeling this vacuum or gloominess? The resolve to live well with whatever you have gathered, earned, stored and preserved, might. Nothing in this world ever brings satisfaction that lasts forever, at one go. It has to be either increased or repeated.

For those who seek to be happy despite this vacuum must make a resolve to live well, no matter where they live, what they eat, what they wear, whom they meet, what they do etc. This resolve has the capacity to veer your mind towards peace. Having peace of mind won't make you complacent. You won't lose your drive to progress. It will keep you from having nervous breakdowns and feeling lost.

By keeping such negativity at a distance, you tend to focus more and have your mind centered around whatever you want. It requires you to stay quiet when you don't feel right to talk, listen when there is room for expression, move on when there is scope for seeing light at the end of a dark tunnel and hope that your life is enough as is.
